My name is Matěj Lev Hart and I am a fifth-year student at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University studying masters programme Mathematical Modelling in Physics and Technology.

Bachelor thesis: Moddeling Rayleigh-Bénard convection using Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics

RB Convection 1 — Rayleigh-Bénard convection simulation using SPH. Hot fluid rises from the bottom, cold fluid sinks from the top, creating convection cells.

Recreating the MIT benchmark for Rayleigh-Bénard convection in an 8:1 cell ratio.

Animation of the Rayleigh-Bénard convection MIT benchmark — Gravity is to the right in this GIF. The solution was calculated using finite elements and Firedrake.
